Daren Graves is an associate professor of education at Simmons University and co-author of Schooling for Critical Consciousness: Engaging Black and Latinx Youth in Analyzing, Navigating, and Challenging Racial Injustice. He also currently serves as cochair of the American Educational Research Association’s special interest group on hip hop theories, praxis, and pedagogies.
