Joelie McCrary has a bachelor’s degree in secondary social studies education and a master’s in education administration. She is currently a high school social studies teacher, with experience teaching American History and AP Psychology. In 2023, she was named History Teacher of the Year in Missouri by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. In addition to social studies, Joelie instructs a college-level education course and coordinates a teaching internship for high school students who plan to enter the field of education. This role has ignited her passion to prepare the next generation of teachers to have a sustainable and thriving career in education.
