She is recognized internationally as a leader in applying cognitive rigor and learning progressions to the development of state and local curriculum and assessment systems. Her work is cited in dozens of books, and she has been a technical advisor to many organizations, including Jobs for the Future, the New Hampshire Learning Initiative, EL Education, Achieve3000, Renaissance Learning, and the WIDA consortium.
