I am the school counselor at Sheridan School in Washington, DC, a therapist in private practice, the author of the recently released Middle School Matters: The 10 Key Skills Kids Need to Thrive in Middle School and Beyond—and How Parents Can Help (Hachette, 2019), and a frequent contributor to The Washington Post.
