True Spirit, The story of Jessica Watson the youngest person to sail solo around the world
When Jessica Watson sets out to be the youngest person to sail solo, non-stop and unassisted around the world, she must overcome her greatest fear as she navigates the world鈥檚 most challenging stretches of ocean. Based on a true story.
At just 16, Jessica Watson, a schoolgirl from Queensland, spent 210 days at sea, braving six-meter swells. Upon her arrival at Sydney Harbour, she was greeted by thousands of supporters, including a six-year-old Teagan Croft, who would later portray her in Netflix's new film debuting on February 3rd.
The film, also titled "Jessica Watson's Journey," is based on Watson's memoir and details her global voyage, as well as the media attention and backlash she received.
